Chateau Pineraie Tradition Cahors 2016

Chateau Pineraie Tradition Cahors 2016

£13.00

Chateau Pinerai is based near the town of Cahors in the Lot region of South western France and is run by sisters Anne and Emmanuelle who farm mostly Malbec grapes. Cahors is known as the original home of the Malbec grape which is now often associated with the wines of Argentina.

Country: France
Region: South West France
Grape: Malbec

This outstanding Malbec is more elegant in style than it's Argentinian relatives, and is more of a medium-full bodied style than a big blockbuster. The wine is full of intense red berry and plum fruits, blackberry and lots of spicy oak. The palate is moreish and well structured with soft powdery tannins and a fresh, long finish. Enjoy this with a variety of meats, including beef, game and pork.
